Well the new hosts had a medical issue and can not make it. so although we moved off the camp host site we are still hosting. we should know tomorrow when the new hosts is expected to be here. We are scheduled to start our trail work tomorrow. And looking forward to that. we took a 2.5 mile walk yesterday afternoon around South Tibwin plantation looking for aligators but only found a few birds. Cloudy day today but temps in the low 50's. so not complaining!
We had lunch at a local place, Shrimp and hoppin john. hoppin john is rice and black eyed peas. it was pretty good, a little muddy tasting but good all the same. we also had some pickled shrimp. doesn't sound too good but it was very very good. it was large shrimp in a vinegar based sauce with green peppers, onions, capers and other spices. It is only made for the holidays so no chance of getting more. We are sorry that we did not have it a couple of weeks ago, so we could stock up! oh well, there are alot more foods we need to eat.
We have the back pack ready for tomorrow, food, candy, fruit and of course toilet paper! not sure what we are doing or where we are going or for how long but... we will be ready..
