Another week of work...

Monday was beautiful..   60+ and sunny.  we had to measure mowing areas around the forest.  we drove aboutr 115 miles in all.  Eric did most of the work while Jawana and I directed his movements!

Spring is in the air, the frogs are croaking, the trees are budding and sunset is after 6:00 pm!  days are getting longer, yea...
Tuesday we finished measuring, Eric found a swing to play on while Duane measured.

the grass is getting greener and the air is so fresh.

Wednesday we spent the morning scouting out next weeks work.  not sure where all the roads are and we don't want to go about the forest willy nilly.  we have our plan down.  we spent the afternoon picking up trash around the campground grounds.  then off to dinner, it's been a while since we had fresh sea food.  so tonight we had oyster and shrimp po boys!  they were great.  the cole slaw was very good as were the fries.  we have not had the same kind of cole slaw at any of the local restuarants here, they are all different.  some very good others just so-so.  todays was a very good.

beautiful evening on the waterway..almost a full moon

Thursday we first met with an Eagle Scout to plan his trail repair project.

we had to measure the ranger station then loaded up the materials for the Eagle scout's project, kind of a short day, but it was a beautiful warm day.

we only have one week of work left before we head home.  this is a long weekend as it is Washington's b-day on Monday.  we are heading to North Carolina tomorrow to visit with friends and family.  the weather is suppose to be beautiful...
