We headed into town for our 10:00 tour of the Arch. They did a good job of explaining the reason why and how it was built. The ride up takes about 4 minutes. You are actually in a pod! (almost Star Trekish) 5 people to a pod. Very claustrophobic in the pod, some people I know could not have done it! I just breathed slowly and thought good things while riding in it. At the top they have windows to look out and take pictures. Another 4 minutes in the pod to get back down.
We then went to Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour. It was really good, seen the Clydesdales and stable, Brew House, Beechwood lagering cellar, packaging plant and hospitality room. I had the Shock Wheat, Eric had Winter Cask Ale and American Lager.
Kathy, I am one of those people that you know who could not ride up in the Arch.... I would have to have the whole pod to myself, or maybe that wouldn't even help. Oh, well, guess that is just one of the things I will never experience in life... :o)
