Sept 24 still getting ready

so much to do..  still working on getting the bills in order.  it should be easy but up north nothing is easy!  but I am close to getting it all together.  We need to start thinking of packing too.  how much can we bring, how much do we need to bring.  two different thoughts.  checked the weather in SC for Dec-Feb.  history shows temps to be between 40-60 and mostly sunny with little rain.  so no snow boots for sure but we will need hiking and work boots and maybe rubber boots too!    shower slippers, water shoes, walking shoes and of course "dress" shoes too..  that is a lot of space just for our feet!  hmmm...  might have to rethink shoes.  clothes should not be so complicated.  we will see!

We are getting ready for the fall 2010 RV Trip

We purchased a new 29ft Starcraft RV.  We took it out for a test run two weeks ago. We found some problems so it is now in the shop.  We hope to be able to have one more test run before the big trip!

We have been working on getting the house in order, house sitter, bills, plowing etc.. and also on our route and stops from NW Wis to Charleston SC.  There is a lot to do to get ready and every day the trees are changing colors and our departure date gets closer.

We plan on leaving on Nov 1 and returning on March 10, 2011.  We plan on taking the month of Nov to get to South Carolina. We will be campground hosts for Dec at the Francis Marion National Forest just north of Charleston. Jan and Feb we will be doing trail maintenance for the National Forest and Cape Romain Wild Life Refuge.
